The location is great, the interior design beautiful, staff is really friendly, the room spot on with all you need. It was an amazing experience to be there and for sure, if I have to stay in Hamburg again, it will be at the Nikolai

Very helpful & knowledgeable Staff. We were able to leave our luggage as we arrived early & left later in the day on check out. I would definitely recommend to friends & family.

Our stay was to celebrate our silver anniversary. The hotel made the perfect setting. The breakfast was incredible!

We were only staying for a couple of nights so we were pleased that room servicing was optional. The room was very comfortable and spacious and we enjoyed the variety of the breakfasts in the morning and the relaxed atmosphere of the bar in the evenings.

We wanted a nice hotel in the middle of Hamburg for one night as we had a planned activity there during our road trip through Europe. We enjoyed the room with its anti-thesis to sparse interior that is common in hotels and the nice personell. We were given a voucher for the bar which we spent on a glass of sparkling wine at the balcony over the canal. Here we realised that we ought to spend some days in Hamburg instead of just passing through, but we'll save that for another year. The hotel has no parking place, so we parked at the Conti-park some minutes away by foot.

We loved our stay at Hotel Nicolais in Hamburg. The breakfast was delicious. Everything was clean, comfortable, and in a great location.. We’d definitely come back and recommend this place! 🤗❤️

I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is in an excellent location. The staff are friendly and helpful. My room was spacious, modern and tastefully decorated. I appreciated the free welcome drink in the bar. I intend to return to this beautiful and cosy hotel.

Beautiful hotel in a great location would definitely stay again

I was part of a large group of people celebrating in the bar. The bar man (blonde haired young man) while serving a large group of people remained calm and professional. He did a great job while under pressure. Well done. The shower room was leaking into the bedroom. I used towels to soak up the water in the bedroom. I booked a room for my daughter and I but did not ask for 2 single beds whilst booking on line. At reception I asked for 2 single beds instead of a double bed for my daughter and I. The receptionist (she was very pleasant) said it would be an extra €30 per night which would add up to an extra €90 for our stay. I disagree with an extra charge for single beds rather than a double bed on top of the room price and an extra price of €90 is outrageous. I didn't budget for the extra €90 so my daughter and I had to share the double bed which wasn't the most convenient or comfortable for our stay.

Everything was great, we will be back for sure.

My room, looking out on the Fleet was the most agreeable room I can recall, (Second place is room 907 in Leonardo Mitte Berlin.). I enjoyed also the classically appointed public spaces.

A true luxury experience in every way..

Beautiful boutique hotel in an amazing location, super friendly and helpful staff (I was able to check in earlier), tasty breakfast with a variety of options. Modern room, with an unusual yet comfortable solution for the shower, toilet, and sink. The only issue was that the room was quite loud and acoustic. Both nights I was woken up by very loud clicking/electronic noises in the middle of the night; toilet flushing from other rooms could be heard as well.

Everything about the Hotel Nikolai met our expectations. Staff were friendly and helpful, in particular the bar staff. There was a good selection of food available at breakfast. Our room was tastefully decorated, clean, practical and comfortable. The hotel is in very convenient location for exploring Hamburg. We would most definitely stay at the Nikolai again if we were to return to Hamburg.

She was extremely helpful with directions and general information. Must tell you paying 25 Euros for a taxi from the Hbn was an very disappointing when viewed on a city map. Suggest the management due something about these unethical cabbies.

Beautiful hotel, with friendly staff, and nice quiet rooms. Excellent location in Altstadt with everything in walking distance. Breakfast was really nice with great variety.

One of the best hotels ever stayed in..my old favourite, The Library in Manhattan New York is very like this Hotel...both my favourites now Thank you for a great time . We will be back soon.

Nikolai Hotel Hamburg is a jewel as a boutique hotel and yet elite and upscale... Your staff are very helpful. Plastic flowers by the window were to my surprise, please change them with real plants and also please do not be a soulless chain hotel in the future. Stay as you are. Thanks !

i would recommend in the future the hotel provides restaurant and food for the evening which would be great for all guests to have this choice.

Modern, fresh hotel with oustanding design elements. Clean rooms, comfortable bed, Loccitane cosmetics. Fast check-in and check-out process. We were lucky to receive our room well before standard check-in time, it was really nice gesture from hotel personnel. Welcome drink as complimentary drink was given at bar - possibility to have either glass of beer or sparkling wine :) Breakfast was exceptionally good with variety of dishes. Additionally cooked eggs are offered from menu (omlette, benedict, florentine etc). Very nice place with convenient location to all sightseeings.

Very nice boutique hotel in a quiet but central location. Only reason for the last missing star is, that no Prosecco was offered at check-in, like it was some years ago.
