Leonardo Hotels opens the first Leonardo Limited Edition in Germany
The Nikolai Hotel Hamburg - Limited Edition marks the brand’s first appereance in the country
Berlin / Hamburg, 2 April 2024 - Following its acquisition of the Sir Nikolai in Hamburg from Sircle Collection, Leonardo Hotels Central Europe is now set to launch the Leonardo Limited Edition brand in Germany. The country’s first hotel to operate under the Limited Edition name is scheduled to open for business as The Nikolai Hotel Hamburg – Leonardo Limited Edition on 9 April 2024. Leonardo Hotels is thus represented in Germany with a total of five brands, and has nine hotels and three brands in Hamburg.
The Leonardo Limited Edition brand encompasses a carefully curated collection of individually styled hotels, each of which is capable of standing entirely alone. They all boast a separate character and an inimitable design as well as having their own stories to tell. The Leonardo Limited Edition spectrum ranges from a small suite-based hotel all the way to a Grand Hotel in a beach location.
The Nikolai Hotel Hamburg – Leonardo Limited Edition complements this assortment perfectly. The hotel, which offers 94 rooms and suites, is housed in a listed seven-storey former “Kontorhaus” beside the Nikolai Fleet Canal. This style of office building is typical of Hamburg and bears witness to the city’s cultural history as part of the Hanseatic League. The historic charm of the structure has been retained in order to enhance the unique quality of the hotel it accommodates today. Every one of the stylish and individually designed rooms delivers modern comfort at the very highest level. An atrium featuring a retractable glass roof that opens up to the sky is a further highlight. Other facilities include a bar, a restaurant area and a spa.
The hotel is situated on the “Nikolai Fleet”, one of the most attractive and oldest waterways of this type which can still be found in Hamburg. St. Catherine’s Church, the Deichtorhallen Exhibition Centre and the Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall are all easily accessible in just a few minutes. The Nikolai Fleet once formed the original part of the old Port of Hamburg. Today, it lies at the heart of a picturesque quarter within the immediate vicinity of the famous Warehouse District and is one of the city’s major attractions.
